Ninon is the co-founder of Studio Ninon. She was born in France where she studied design and communication. Her characteristic French influence and idiosyncratic neutral colour palette are the heart of the studio. Her interest in art and design awoke at a young age finding art treasures in old bookstores and antiquity shops in France. After travelling the world and living in Japan and Australia she is now based in Vancouver. She interrogates her French cultural heritage to find inspiration and create timeless artwork to compliment modern interiors. Her work reflects simplicity, sophistication and a minimalistic flow of soft lines.
All Studio Ninon fine art prints are Giclée (Zhee-clay) quality and made using premium 100% Cotton Rag paper that is acid, lignin, chlorine, and OBA free. Cotton rag has long been regarded as the most sustainable form of paper on the planet, not only due to the fact that it contains no alpha-cellulose (tree) fibres whatsoever, but that the cotton seeds used to make the paper are themselves byproducts of the textile industry (aka recycled)! We then take things another step further by using an uncoated paper surface with no OBA (Optical Brightening Agents)…if you need a takeaway, our prints are made without trees and unnecessary chemicals. Giclée is a French term meaning “to spray” (referring to the printer nozzle), but what makes it so important? Fundamentally, this is the highest classification of premium art print production today due to the quality and longevity of the prints produced by this technique (museum grade). In order to be coined ‘Giclée,’ an art print must exhibit the following key characteristics: Image Resolution ≥ 300 DPI – Pigment Based Ink – Archival Paper – Professional Inkjet Printer
